Küçük Selimiye Camii

The Küçük Selimiye Mosque is also known as the Selimiye Lodge or the Behçet-i Konevî Mosque. The mosque stands in the Çiçekçi district on Tunusbağı Avenue, between Selimiye Camii Street and Şair Nesimi Street. On the right side of the mosque, on the corner across the road, is the Sultan Selim III Fountain dated 1217 (1802-3), and a little further on is the Ayşe Hatun Namazgâh (open-air prayer area) dated 1181 (1767-68). Beside this namazgâh stood the famous Çiçekçi Coffeehouse. In the Karacaahmet Cemetery opposite the mosque lie buried many statesmen, poets, and calligraphers.
