Editor's Note
Amcazâde Hüseyin Pasha was the son of Hasan Ağa, the younger brother of Köprülü Mehmet Pasha of the Köprülü family. He came to be known as Amcazâde (the cousin) because he rose to fame during the grand vizierate of his cousin Fazıl Ahmet Pasha. The property in Anadoluhisarı that Amcazâde endowed in 1702 did not, as is commonly assumed, consist of this waterside mansion alone.
