Editor's Note
Kamer Hatun Mosque is a mosque in the Tarlabaşı quarter of Istanbul's Beyoğlu district. Originally built in 1514 by Sultan Selim I for his wet nurse Kamer Hatun, it had fallen into ruin by the 19th century and was rebuilt by the architect Mimar Kemalettin Bey under the General Directorate of Foundations. The masonry-walled building has a wooden load-bearing roof covered with sheet metal and lead.
