Editor's Note
It was built in the 17th century by Ahmet Çavuş in his own name. The masjid, with brick walls and a wooden roof, fell into ruin over time and was rebuilt in 1984 with the help of the local community. In later years it was enlarged with various alterations and a brick minaret was added.
