Karagündüz Mound is an archaeological mound about 34 km northeast of the city of Van, on the east-northeast shore of Lake Erçek at the western edge of the plain formed by the Memedik stream that flows into the lake. It is noted as lying on the trade route leading to Van and as one of the largest mounds in the region.
