Editor's Note
It was built in the early 17th century by İdris-i Muhtefî, the spiritual pole of the Bayrami-Melami order. İdris-i Muhtefî, whose real name was Tırhalalı Hacı Ali Bey, became known by the epithet "Muhtefî" (the Hidden One) because, after rising to the rank of spiritual pole, he carried out his activities in the utmost secrecy to protect himself and his followers from state persecution; this secrecy also contributed to the rumors that he was a heretic and unbeliever.
