Editor's Note
The road running along the sea side of Tuzla's old station building was named the trackside road. The railway line coming from in front of the military ramp curved around and continued past the old station building. This railway still exists today and is used by shipping companies for loading and unloading operations. The old station building was also used as a training centre in 1969 to train the dispatchers needed before the CTC system (the management of railway traffic by signals) was installed at Haydarpasa.
