Editor's Note
The castle was declared a First-Degree Natural and Archaeological Conservation Site by decision of the conservation board. As part of preserving this historic heritage and passing it on to future generations, restoration work on Aydos Castle began in 2010 through the initiative of the Sultanbeyli Municipality. The relevant institutions were contacted, permits obtained, and the work carried out. Under the supervision of the İstanbul Archaeological Museums, the curtain walls and the archaeological excavations within them have been completed.
