Editor's Note
It stands on Değirmen Street in İstinye. It was built in 947/1540 by Neslişah Hanım Sultan, granddaughter of Bayezid II, and later underwent various repairs. In 1957 it was demolished and its site absorbed into the road. A new mosque bearing the same name was later built in its place. The mosque has masonry walls and a hipped roof; its prayer hall is lit by pointed-arched windows, and its cylindrical-shafted minaret rests on a square base. 1) Dünden Bugüne İstanbul Ansiklopedisi, vol. 8.
