Ilıpınar Mound is an archaeological mound located about 2 km south of Orhangazi in Bursa Province and 2 km west of Lake İznik. The settlement covers roughly 2.5 hectares, with the mound about 250 metres across and between 3 and 10 metres high. The earliest settlement is thought to date back about 8,000 years, founded by a group of 10 to 15 families from Central Anatolia.
