Editor's Note
In Yazıkışla, in the Felahiye district of Kayseri, far from any settlement and in the middle of farmland, a monumental Roman-era tomb still stands in all its splendor. Described as a "temple tomb" type, this structure is striking for both its architectural details and its state of preservation. Its vaulted covering built of cut stone was finished with a hipped roof and a triangular pediment, and a facade arrangement resembling a temple form was chosen. The burial chamber at ground level is adorned with rich molding details that wrap around the building's exterior.
