Editor's Note
The Tabaklar Bath, thought to have been commissioned in the 16th century by Tahvil Mehmet Paşa, was built in the double-bath style. The women's section is considerably smaller than the men's. The bath, whose walls are all built of rubble stone, has stone-molded eaves. Its dressing-room section was demolished during a road project in the past. Today it preserves only the cool (soğukluk) and hot sections. All its walls are built of rubble stone, and its eaves are stone-molded. The cool and ablution sections are covered with vaults, while the hot rooms are covered with domes.
