Editor's Note

With the establishment of Ankara University on 18 June 1946, the Ankara Faculty of Law was incorporated into Ankara University as its faculty of law. On 1 December 1954, the Institute for Banking and Commercial Law Research was founded within the Ankara University Faculty of Law by Türkiye İş Bankası, with the aim of advancing scholarly research, study and publication in the fields of banking, insurance and commercial law in Turkey and of bringing Turkish banking and commercial law to an advanced level among contemporary legal systems.
