Editor's Note
The inscription over the entrance door of the Government House states that the building was constructed during the reign of Abdülhamid II by District Governor Kami Efendi in the years AH 1315-1316 (AD 1897-1898). The three-storey masonry building has stone string-courses between its floors. Because of the slope, the front façade is two storeys. In the centre, the entrance door sits within a round-arched niche with a stone frame. Above the door is a seven-line inscription written in Talik script. The building's windows have stone frames, segmental arches and rectangular forms. The frames are emphasized on the façade.
