Editor's Note
It stands in a ruined state on the right of the road climbing to the Great Mosque. It is understood to be a double bath formed by the repetition side by side of a four-iwan scheme. This building too was most likely commissioned by the Mengücekids. Locally known as the Bekir Çavuş Bath, it is said to have been built so that the masters and workers could perform their ablutions while building the Great Mosque and the Hospital in 1228. It ran on Ahmetşah water until the 1880s, falling into ruin after the castle and town quarters were abandoned and the water channel fell into disrepair. There are documents concerning the Hamam-ı Bâlâ in the archives.
