Editor's Note
Today no structural element other than its iwan-fronted entrance reflects the building's original form. The inscription at the entrance indicates that it was built in 1274 AH (1858 CE) by Ömer Bey, a member of the Karaosmanoğlu family who controlled the region at the time. A tea house operates inside it today.
