Editor's Note
Apamea Cibotus was an ancient city in the Dinar district of Afyonkarahisar, near the earlier site of Celaenae (Kelainai). Founded in the 3rd century BC by Antiochus I Soter, who named it after his mother Apama, it lay in Hellenistic Phrygia and later became part of the Roman province of Pisidia. Monumental remains such as its stadium and theatre survive in part.
