Editor's Note
Temnos was a small Greek polis of ancient Aeolis, later incorporated into the Roman province of Asia on the western coast of Anatolia. Its remains lie near the village of Görece in İzmir's Menemen district; its bishopric was a suffragan of Ephesus.
