Editor's Note
It stands northeast of the historic Karaseyh Cemetery, on a spot commanding the silhouette of the hill on which it was built. After the Ulu Kumbet (Usta Sagirt Tomb, Cubuklu Tomb), also in Ahlat, it is the second-largest tomb in scale. It contains three graves. Above its door is a two-line inscription written in an intricately stacked naskh script. According to this inscription, it was built in the month of Rajab AH 673 (January 1275) for the commander of commanders Mahmun b. Husameddin Hasan Aka. In one of the other two graves lies his vizier Hasan Ali.
