Editor's Note
Inscriptions written in Luwian hieroglyphs on granite cliffs are located in the gorge of the Şuğul valley (Tohma Su), west of the Gürün district (its ancient name being Tegarama) of Sivas province. They were first noticed in 1879 by Sir Charles Wilson. There are two separate inscriptions written in Luwian hieroglyphs. The larger one higher up has six lines, and the lower one four lines, and they are copies of the same text. Both are somewhat worn, but the larger one is better preserved and is a record concerning a settlement founded by Runtiya, King of Malatya.
