Editor's Note
Tabae (Tabai) was a city in ancient Caria in southwestern Turkey, though according to Strabo it was a Phrygian city on a plain at the Carian boundary. The settlement, known as Kale-i Tavas, lies today near Kale in Denizli Province, on the right of the highway toward Muğla.
