Editor's Note
This mosque in the center of Bor district has no construction inscription, so its exact year of construction is unknown. It has been suggested that it may be the structure recorded as the Cullah Masjid in the 1483 land-survey registers. Moreover, a document from 1747 refers to "the noble mosque of Sheikh Suleyman, known as the Haci Mehmet Masjid, situated in the Cullah neighborhood." According to the Hurufat registers, this building, previously known as the Haci Mehmed Masjid, became a mosque in 1707 (AH 1119) when Sheikh Suleyman added a minbar, and the first preacher was appointed.
