Editor's Note
This relief inscription from the Late Hittite period was first announced by Mustafa Kalaç in 1979. It stands beside the Göksu River near the village of Malpınarı, about 35 km from Adıyaman. Written in Luwian hieroglyphs on a hollowed-out section of a rocky surface 150 m north of the water source known as Malpınarı, the inscription consists of 9 lines. It is approximately 1.8 m long and 0.9 m high. Because of the Burç Dam built a little to the south on the Göksu, it was submerged under water in 2010.
