Editor's Note
This fountain, located within the bounds of Yanıkkışla village in the Tarsus district of Mersin province, dates to the Ottoman period. Although the building's inscription has survived to the present day, much of it has deteriorated over time, and its legibility has been severely damaged. The fountain's inscription reads as follows: "...... the patron of charitable works ......... son of ............. el-seyyid? Ağa? ... son Ana? Mer.............t....... son This y...................... Sa ....... rû....... in order to direct? ....... ............................"
