Myus was an ancient Greek city in the historic region of Caria, near Avşar village in the Söke district of Aydın, just north of Lake Bafa. One of the cities of the Ionian League, it was one of three - together with Miletus and Priene - that spoke the same Ionic subdialect, all Ionian colonies set at the mouth of the Maeander River on the west coast of Anatolia.
