Editor's Note
Aigai (also Nemrut Kale) was an ancient Greek and later Roman city in Aeolis, founded atop Gün Dağı in the Yunt Mountains, about 2 km south of Köseler village in Yunusemre, Manisa. Mentioned by Herodotus and Strabo as a member of the Aeolian dodecapolis and home to an important sanctuary of Apollo, it is the best-preserved city of the whole Aeolis region and is enclosed by tall walls.
