Editor's Note
The Odalar Mosque (Kemankeş Mustafa Paşa Mosque) was an Ottoman mosque in Istanbul. Originally a Byzantine-era Orthodox church, after the conquest of Constantinople it served from 1475 as a Catholic church dedicated to Saint Mary before being converted into a mosque in 1640. Badly damaged by a fire in 1919, the mosque gradually fell into ruin, and today only some walls survive, lost among modern buildings.
