Tirit Baba Çeşmesi

The Tirit Baba Fountain is an Ottoman-era street fountain in the central district of Edirne. As it bears no inscription, its builder and exact date are unknown, but its architectural similarity to comparable fountains in Edirne suggests it may have been built in the 16th century. Taking its name from Tirit Street where it stands, it is a square-plan, single-faced fountain of cut stone and brick. Owned by the Edirne Municipality, it was registered as a protected immovable cultural property in 2003.
