This Ottoman-era fountain in the Sulukule quarter of the Fatih district, adjoining the Byzantine city walls, is marble-clad, with marble columns framing its sides and a plain, undecorated mirror stone. Long neglected and derelict, it was restored to its present condition and its broken basin replaced; its water no longer runs.
