Editor's Note
Also known as the Yakup Kethüda Fountain, the Sofalı Fountain stands in the Karagümrük neighbourhood of the Fatih district, where Sarmaşık and Niyazi Mısri streets meet Sofalı Çeşme Avenue. Built of cut stone in the classical style, it lacks an inscription, so its builder is unknown. The Keçeci Piri Mosque stands opposite it.
