The Gallipoli Peninsula Historical Site is a large protected area at the southern tip of the Gallipoli Peninsula, covering nearly all of the Eceabat district and some 33,000 hectares on the European side of the Dardanelles. Established as a national park in 1973, it was removed from national-park status in 2014 and reclassified as a historical site.
