Editor's Note
Şarapsa Han is a 13th-century caravanserai on the highway 15 km west of Alanya, beside the Serapsu stream. It was built on the Silk Road between 1236 and 1246 by the Anatolian Seljuk sultan Ghiyath al-Din Kaykhusraw II. With walls of large cut stone, it was an important medieval stopover and today serves as a restaurant and entertainment venue.
