Editor's Note
Beylerbeyi Palace is an Ottoman summer palace in the Üsküdar district of Istanbul, taking its name from the surrounding Beylerbeyi neighbourhood. It was built between 1863 and 1865 by the architect Sarkis Balyan on the order of Sultan Abdülaziz. The complex, made up of several buildings and features, is used as a museum today.
