Editor's Note
Güney Waterfall is located within the bounds of Cindere village in the Güney district of Denizli Province, near the Büyük Menderes River. A first-degree protected site, it was known for the calcareous terraces formed by its lime-rich water and, before its collapse, included a dripstone cave with stalactites and stalagmites and a pool that could be swum in. The waterfall collapsed following a rock-and-earth landslide on 13 May 2013.
